The Week in Review
In the OUA East division, York began the weekend looking to maintain their perfect record. It didn’t last long, as Western beat them in straight sets on their first game of the weekend. York did beat Windsor on Sunday, but it took five sets. Queen’s won their only game of the weekend, meaning they and York now share one loss. Ottawa was also active, winning both of their matches on the weekend. They just barely made it by Toronto, a team that had been streaking before the break, but had a much easier time with RMC the next day.
Though Queen’s and York now share the same amount of losses, York still has games in hand. Therefore, the standings don’t look too much different today:
In the West, Brock was inactive while they lead the standings. Unfortunately, both Guelph and McMaster went undefeated during their trips through Waterloo. They both managed to leapfrog Brock, and each have significantly less losses to suggest they’ll stay on top. Western, hanging around in fourth, won both of their games including a tough won against previously-undefeated York. Though they don’t pass Brock, they sure are biting at their heels.
