The Week in Review:

In the OUA Women’s East, three teams have really pulled away from their competition. York had an undefeated weekend after losing for the first time just a week ago. Queen’s also played to two consecutive wins this weekend during a trip through Kitchener-Waterloo. Ottawa only had the one game, but won it. That means there was no motion at the top, but those three teams sure have put distance between themselves and the competition.

In the Women’s West, McMaster really took a hold this weekend. They were equal with Guelph in wins, but had a game in hand. Western helped by beating Guelph on Friday, and the Marauders won two matches to give themselves a lead in wins, while still maintaining that extra game. Guelph went 1-1 after the Western loss. Western’s second game of the weekend was a loss against division leaders McMaster. It’s a tough weekend if you have to face #1 and #2 back-to-back. Brock, who sits tied with Western in wins, couldn’t pull out a win this weekend in their only match against East powerhouse Ottawa.
