Canada Men Win NORCECA: Grand Cayman

Photo: norceca.orgVolleyball has now wrapped in The Cayman Islands and Canada has come out on top.  In men's beach volleyball action, Rich VanHuizen and Josh Binstock won the gold medal defeating Puerto Rico 2-0.  The set scores were 21-19 and 21-14.  The Canada 2 mens team of Martin Reader and Chaim Schalk finished the tournament 4th losing the bronze medal match to Mexico 2-1.

On the women's side of the tournament, Liz Maloney and Heather Bansley won the bronze medal defeating Puerto Rico 2-0.

A big congrats goes out to all of our Canadian beach volleyball athletes down in The Cayman Islands.  You all had a great weekend and made us all proud.
