FIVB: Brazil Main Draw (Men)

Josh Binstock and Rich VanHuizen had a bye the first round and were defeated in the second round by Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt of Chile scoring 21-18 and 21-18.Team Maverick Hatch and Sam Schachter defeated Daniel Hupfer and Helmut Moser of Austria by scores of 21-13 and 21-13. A great win for Mav and Sam. Not only was it their first FIVB match together, but they were kicked off the court earlier by Austria during a practice session. I'm sure it felt good to get some nice revenge and win your first FIVB game at the same time. They lost their second match to Stefan Gunnarsson and Hannes Brinkborg of Sweden by scores of 21-19 and 21-13. So both our men's teams missed the main draw this event, but alas, the show must go on.
