Photo: norceca.orgCanadian women, just like the men, will be going on to the next round of beach volleyball action at the NORCECA Boca Chica, Dominican Republic event. The Canadian teams will be playing Puerto Rico in the next round while the USA women's team will play Cuba.
Annie Martin and Marie-Andre Lessard of Canada-A had to battle for a 21-16, 16-21, 15-10 victory over Martha Revuelta/Diana Estrada of Mexico-B and then prevailed 20-22, 21-19, 20-18 in a sensational match against Bibi Candelas and Mayra Garcia of Mexico-A. ? Candelas/Garcia had defeated Heather Bansley/Liz Maloney of Canada-B 21-15, 21-18 while Bansley/Maloney beat Revuelta/Estrada 21-18, 21-12.
