Redmann-Saxton CAN defeated Mourtzios-Niopas of Greece 2-0. The set scores were (21-15, 21-14). Christian and Ben will go on to play Romashkin-Hudyakov of Russia in round two.
Reader-Schalk lost to Varenhorst-Stiekema 0-2. The set scores were (14-21, 16-21).
Huge upset for Hatch-Schachter who were seeded 51 and defeated the 14 seed of Barsouk-Yutvalin from Russia 2-0 (21-17, 21-19).
Mykhaylov-Ostapenko of Ukraine lost to Canadians Josh Binstock and Rich Van Huizen 0-2. The set scores were (19-21, 13-21).
