Though the London Olympics are over and done with, that hardly means the volleyball world grinds to a halt. On the contrary, there’s a lot go-ing on, both indoors and outside.
Check out our cover story, which finds Steve Brinkman and Fred Winters playing in Beijing, another Olympic venue. Elsewhere in the issue you’ll read about Sarah Pavan’s road to Rio, which will host the next Olympics in 2016.
Speaking of London, we’ve got Elodie Li Yuk Lo’s touching tale of her time over there. She represented Mauritius at the Games, as she was African beach champion. Our world travels continue as T-Bird Joe Cordonier writes from El Salvador, where he was part of a Habitat for Humanity crew.
We’ve also got profiles of National Team members Dustin Schneider (men’s indoor) and Liz Maloney (women’s beach). You’ll learn some new things about both, guaranteed.
Can’t forget CIS and CCAA, which reached mid-season with many of the usual suspects hogging the top spots. Looks like we’ll being seeing some familiar faces at Nationals.
We’ve also got some great contributions from Paul Duerden and Natascha Wesch. Duerden tells in plain terms why you need to work out, while Wesch has some advice for those who have decided to call it a day. Mav, our music man, is rocking, too.
Enoy!
