Make it Six
The UBC Thunderbirds women's volleyball team has just won their sixth straight CIS national title. They defeated the Alberta Pandas in straight sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-18). This win ties the record for most consecutive CIS women's volleyball championships held by Winnipeg from 1983-1988. This record was also tied by Alberta from 1995-2000. This match marks the third time this season the T-Birds have defeated the Pandas. UBC took both matches of their double header back in Canada West regular season play back in November.
