FIVB World League: Gavin Schmitt Out for Second Match vs. Portugal
Canadian Opposite Gavin Schmitt will not be suiting up for Canada in tonight's second FIVB World League match against Portugal.
Schmitt suffered a lower body injury in last night's match and we be re-assesed after the match.
Canada sits has a record of 2-1 so far in World League, and Schmitt has been their go-to player , leading the team with 54 points (47 kills, 6 service aces, and 1 block) .
Both Dallas Soonias and Louis-Pierre Mainville are on tonight's roster, so one of them will fill the role. Another potential fill is Rudy Verhoeff, who is on the Senior A roster for the first time this weekend, and won a CIS National Championship in the position with Trinity Western in 2012.
