LNV: Hoag Sets Career High, Lifts Tours to Win
Nicholas Hoag exploded for a career-high 27 kills in Tours VB's come-from-behind 3-2 win over Nantes Rezé Métropole in Ligue Nationale de Volleyball Pro A action today.
The Canadian national team left-side put constant pressure on the team from Nantes from the baseline and was lethal offensively with a 63% efficiency, going 27-for-43 on the night.
Hoag's previous career high with Tours was 20 kills on Saturday (November 8th) against St. Nazaire. The Sherbrooke native has 96 points in 6 matches, already better than the 86 kills he had in 17 appearances last season.
Newfoundland's Max Burt also saw time in the match for Nantes, and he picked up a pair of kills in his team's loss.
With the win, Tours VB improves to 4-2 and sits in 5th while Nantes holds the 13th place with a 1-5 record.
