In their first year in the Bundesliga after being promoted, SVG Lüneburg is right in the thick of things with a record of 4-3 for 14 points and good enough for fifth place.
Today comes one of the big tests - the league-leading Berlin Recycling Volleys (7-1).
Canadian Erik Mattson (Toronto, Ont) wears the different jersey for Lüneburg while Berlin relies on the American influence of brothers Kawika and Erik Shoji with former Pepperdine Wave and Australian National team member Paul Carrol added in for good measure.
