CEV: Marcelle in CEV Cup Semis

Former UBC Thunderbird Shanice Marcelle will compete in The CEV Cup semi finals tomorrow with her German club team Dresdner SC.

Dresdner split their home and away series with Ukraine's Khimik YUZHNY.  In CEV Cup, as in Champions League, splits are settled by one golden set to 15.  Marcelle's club pushed back in the golden set to take the win 18-16.

DRESDNER SC showed an amazing fighting spirit, storming back to survive to a match ball for their opponents before Katharina Schwabe cashed the third chance to book a ticket to the semis, a feat that was enthusiastically celebrated by the players as well as by the local crowd.
