Jarmoc to Play in Poland

Caroline Jarmoc (Calgary) leaves Kansas as one of the All-Time greats - can she do the same in Poland?

Caroline Jarmoc (Calgary, Albt.) has signed her first professional contract with PTPS Pila of the Polish Orlen Liga, the top division of play in Poland.

Jarmoc leaves the University of Kansas widely considered to be one of the best Jayhawks of all-time. The two-time All-American (2012 & 2013) finished her career with a .327 hitting percentage, 555 blocks, and 454 blocks assists and now finds herself as the all-time leader in those categories. She also sits at No. 2 in kills (1,333) , points (1,769), and solo blocks (101), not to mention led the Jayhawks to their best-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament - a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2013.

Now she steps in for another club needing a turn-around. PTPS Pila was one of the top clubs in Europe at the beginning of the 2000's, but barely stayed out of relegation last season. They finished 2014 with a 5-13 record and in 9th place, one spot out of the playoffs.
