Over the Christmas break, Canadian left-side Steve Gotch (Okotoks, AB) transferred from #Dragons Lugano of Switzerland to Noliko Maaseik of Belgium. From one Champions League team to another, Gotch joins Maaseik as they sit in 3rd in Pool G, otherwise known as the 'Pool of Death', with a record of 1-3. Their opponent today is the giants from Turkey Halkbank Ankara with a 3-1 record, and are also last year's Champions League runners-up.

Unfortunately, it looks like Steve won't be suiting up in any Champions League matches for Maaseik due to transfer rules in place in the CEV.  You can catch him in his Ethias League match this Saturday when he takes on Leuven, we'll have the link right here.
