Schmitt to Funvic Taubaté of Brazil

The season isn't even over in Turkey, and Gavin Schmitt has already confirmed his new home for the 2015/2016 professional season. The Saskatoon native is headed to Funvic Taubaté of the Brazilian SuperLiga. 

Gavin will be filling a big hole for a top-four team in one of the world's top leagues as he will be replacing Brazilian legends Dante and Sidao. The club finished in second-place in the regular season before losing to Sesi in the semi-finals. 

Schmitt is currently playing in some playoffs of his own as he and Coach Hoag have qualified for the Final Group in the Turkish League playoffs with Arkas Izmir.
