LIVE: FIVB Grand Prix

It's already been a busy summer for the Canadian Women's National team, but they're ready to go once again for the 2015 edition of the FIVB World League.

Canada's first stab at the annual competition can be categorized as a learning experience, posting a record of 2-7 to finish 7th in Group 2.

The team competing this year, however, is a much different group of girls. Coming off their best Pan Am Cup in years, taking a 5th with a dominant win over Puerto Rico, the 2015 edition of Team Canada is older, wiser, and flat-out better.

Format

The Grand Prix works a little differently than the World League. Much like the men's competition, it is decided into three groups, with Canada falling into the second along with Puerto Rico, Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Argentina.

However, with only two weekends of competition, teams play three matches a weekend against other teams in their pool. After those six matches, the top three teams join Poland in the Group 2 Finals, where the winner will get a spot in the Grand Prix Finals in Omaha.
