LIVE: FIVB Grand Prix

It's a short season for the FIVB Grand Prix, with the second and final weekend of the annual competition kicking off today.

For Team Canada, this means a trip to Argentina to face the Netherlands, Poland and the hosts over the course of the weekend. Canada sits in seventh in Group 2 with two points earned from a five-set win over Bulgaria in Puerto Rico. Canada will have to run the table in search of a full nine points if they want any chance of moving on to the Group 2 Finals in Poland.

Despite an embarrassing first couple of sets against Puerto Rico, the team bounced back to put together a couple solid matches against two European opponents. The win over Bulgaria, a team that swept them at the World Championships in the fall, is a big one for the character of the team. It may not have been pretty, but they got the job done against a pretty good team.

Now they have an opportunity against three pretty strong teams to get better and steal some W's. The match up against Argentina, a team competing at the Pan Am Games, will be especially interesting.
