The only North American stop on the World Tour this summer, teams from around the world will come to Edmonton to compete for valuable points towards Olympic Qualification, and compete for $150,000 in prize money!

Other Canadian teams attending include Alberta’s own Ben Saxton and his partner Grant O’Gorman, 2-time (2018 & 2019) NCAA Beach Volleyball Champions, Nicole & Megan McNamara, 2-time NCAA (2016 & 2017) NCAA Beach Volleyball Champion Sophie Bukovec & 2015 CIS Champion Taylor Pischke, and many more!

The FIVB last came to Canada in 2016 (Toronto) for the World Tour Finals, but this is the first time since 2011 (Quebec City) that Canada hosts a real World Tour stop! It couldn't come at a better time, as Canadian beach volleyball has reached a new level, taking home the first World Championships EVER in the sport! How fitting is it that the City of Champions will get to give the World Champions a heroes welcome!
