The FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour's second event has been taking place in the last couple days in Sanya, China. This has been a women's only event, with men's compeition picking back up at the double gender Shanghai event next week. After the USA team of May-Treanor-Walsh dropping out at the semi-final level with Misty suffering from a knee injury, the home team of Xue-Zhang Xi will be playing in the finals. The Americans are still scheduled to play in the bronze medal match tonight, we will see if they follow through. Their opponents in the finals are none other than the FIVB Brazil gold medalists and current #1 world ranked team of Larissa-Juliana of Brazil.
