NORCECA Beach: Canada Continues Medal Streak in Mexico

Canada's Kacie MacTavish and Caleigh Whitaker grabbed silver, while Grant O'Gorman and Sam Pedlow took home the bronze at the weekend's NORCECA Tour stop in Mazatlan, Mexico.

Canada's Kacie MacTavish and Caleigh Whitaker grabbed silver, while Grant O'Gorman and Sam Pedlow took home the bronze at the weekend's NORCECA Tour stop in Mazatlan, Mexico.

Canada continued it's medal streak on the NORCECA Tour at the latest stop in Mazatlan, Mexico.

Kacie MacTavish and Caleigh Whitaker grabbed their second medal of the season, falling to Sara Hughes and Lane Carico of the U.S., 21-10, 21-18 in the final. 

On the men's side, it was an all Canadian battle for the bronze, as Sam Pedlow and his partner Grant O'Gorman faced off against Josh Binstock and Sam Schacter. Pedlow/O'Gorman grabbed their third medal in a row, taking the match 21-17, 21-13, 15-13. 

Canada's women are currently ranked #1 in the NORCECA rankings for the 2013 season, which has included three gold medals for three different teams. 

The NORCECA will still feature four more stops: October 2nd-7th in San Diego, USA; October 9th-14th in St. Lucia; November 20th-25th in Costa Rica; and November 27th to Demcember 2nd in Trinidad and Tobago.
