It's almost December and that means that our friends to the south will be beginning their month long college and university women's volleyball tournament. The 2011 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship this year takes place in San Antonio, Texas on December 15th-17th, however we do have an entire month of games leading into the championship.

Tonight the NCAA D1 Volleyball Champtionship Semi-final matches will take place in Kansas City, Missouri. At 7 p.m. EST we have a rematch of last year's champtionship final: Penn State (the defending champion) vs. Texas. On the other side of the bracket we have an all Pac-10 semi final: USC vs. Cal at 9PM EST. While USC has defeated Cal twice already this season (Oct 9th 3-2 and Nov 5th 3-1), the Bears are coming into this semi final fresh off a 3-2 victory over the #3 seed, Stanford.
