York Excalibur Tournament Bronze Medal Match

Western Mustangs vs. UNB Varsity Reds

 The Gold Medal Match of the York Excalibur Tournament was contested between the Western Mustangs and the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds. The two teams met earlier in the tournament, during round robin play. UNB came out with a victory in straight sets, but even their head coach Dan McMorran acknowledged both teams were throwing varied lineups at each other. Thursday night brought out the heavyweight lineups as the OUA and AUS aggressively played it out for Gold.

York Excalibur Tournament Bronze Medal Match

Windsor Lancers vs. York Lions

After tough losses to UNB and Western respectively, the Windsor Lancers and York Lions met to decide who would take home some hardware. Both of these teams were familiar with each other after years of playing in the OUA. The bronze medal would be decided on who cared more to fight for it after the deflation of losing a chance at gold and silver. This match would also set the tone for the OUA season, set to resume in a week’s time.

NCAA D1 Volleyball Championship Semi-Finals (Women)

Tonight the NCAA D1 Volleyball Champtionship Semi-final matches will take place in Kansas City, Missouri.  At 7 p.m. EST we have a rematch of last year's champtionship final: Penn State (the defending champion) vs. Texas.  On the other side of the bracket we have an all Pac-10 semi final:  USC vs. Cal at 9PM EST.  While USC has defeated Cal twice already this season (Oct 9th 3-2 and Nov 5th 3-1),  the Bears are coming into this semi final fresh off a 3-2 victory over the #3 seed, Stanford.

Boys' AAAA OFSAA Gold Medal Match

 

We had to leave Hamilton a bit early this afternoon and wont be at the AAAA gold medal game of St. Michael's College vs Grand River. If you would like to check out the game on the live stream head on over to SportsLive for coverage.

Boys' AAA OFSAA Gold Medal Match

The Oakridge SS Oaks (near in red) meet the Regiopolis-Notre Dame Panthers

We were live at McMaster University for Boys' OFSAA's AAA Gold Medal Match. The games were played in Burridge Gym, in the Braley Athletic Centre on McMaster University's campus. The matches were streamed at sportslive.ca, as they have been all tournament.


The AAA Gold Medal Match was between 1st ranked Oakridge SS and 3rd ranked Regiopolos-Notre Dame. And it sure played out like a Gold Medal Match should.

Boys' AA OFSAA Gold Medal Match

We were in Hamilton at McMaster University for the AA gold medal match on Saturday, November 27th.

2nd ranked Eden HS squared up against a feisty 7th ranked Walkerville team, coming from South Western Ontario. Though the teams looked like a mismatch, the story on the court was written differently.

Boys' OFSAA 2010: Day 1 in Review

OFSAA Volleyball 2010 is underway. Games will all be played in Mississauga, and stream from this page, all provided by Sportslive.ca. The streams are streams by definition, but they aren't able to quite keep up with the reality of time. So you can wait and let some games load for a while, then watch them in a quick burst.

It's not everything, but it's something.

Finals air from 12:00 pm ET, progressing from A to AAAA, until the last final starts at 18:00 pm ET.
