The 33rd Excalibur Tournament
On behalf of Alex and myself, I'd like to wish all of our readers a very happy holidays. In volleyball news, if you're in the city of Toronto and are looking to spend some time watching some men's indoor volleyball, head on up to York University for the annual Excalibur Tournament. Here's a quote from York's website.
The York Lions men’s volleyball team will end 2011 by welcoming seven Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) squads to the Tait McKenzie Centre for the 33rd annual Excalibur Volleyball Classic Dec. 28 to 30.
The eight teams, coming from Ontario University Athletics (OUA), Reseau du Sport Etudiant du Quebec (RSEQ) and Atlantic University Sport (AUS) have been split into two pools of four. In Pool B, the host York University Lions (4-5) will face off against a pair of OUA teams – the University of Western Ontario Mustangs (9-0) and the University of Guelph Gryphons (6-3), as well as the University of Sherbrooke Vert et Or (4-6) from the RSEQ.
Pool A will feature three OUA schools, the University of Windsor Lancers (6-3), the University of Waterloo Warriors (4-5) and Ryerson University Rams (2-7), as well as the Dalhousie University Tigers (6-4) from the AUS.
