It's been a full season of competition for Ontario colleges, and now it's time to crown a single champion for the men and women. The format of their finals looks more like a weekend tournament than a playoff bracket. Starting on Thursday, eight teams will remain in each category, and will play a quarter-final match up. The winners of Thursday's event will play the semi-finals on Friday, and the eventual gold medal match will be decided on Saturday, February 26th.

There was plenty of notice for the countdown towards Landis Doyle's OCAA record. The tally began on her very first game, as the record up for grabs was all-time points leader, meaning the most career kills. Ever. There were Hawks' supporters with eight signs, numbered 1-8, that turned over a sign each time Doyle put down another kill. Eventually they were revealed to say "Go Landis". It didn't take long.
