The HP Beach Open sees only one Canadian team remaining in this tournament and that is the women's team of Marie Andree Lessard and Annie Martin. As you would recall, they have direct entry into the main draw thanks to a wild card. Because this is just a regular open tournament and not a grand slam, the main draw is a double elimination format. Matches, results, and live streams below.

Where has this summer gone? Not too long ago I was writing our first post previewing the first stop of the 2011 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour. This week we see the last tour stop of the summer coming from the HP Beach Open from The Hague, Netherlands. Covering the FIVB tour for the first time this year has increased my knowledge of the sport greatly and I look forward to next year. On top of that, attending the Jeep Open in Quebec City, Canada was probably one of my more favourite times in my 13 years of volleyball. I look forward to going back next year, and hopefully going to some other events as well.
I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. We do have one more event left this summer as well as two single gender events in the fall that are still technically part of this year's tour. On the Canadian side of things, action is pretty quiet overseas. Most Canadian teams are home for Canadian Beach Nationals this weekend in Toronto. Only one women's and one men's team from Canada will be playing in The Netherlands this week.

We will be posting a photo gallery of action after the game and hopefully get some video interviews as well. Live stream from Hamilton courtesy of sportscanada.tv after the jump.
